I have been using this dealership for 3 years and had not had any problems up until this July. I had my car towed for body work repair. Upon picking up my vehicle from finished repairs 3 weeks later, my driver’s door had visible scratches and the passenger side window that was repaired, had left over adhesive from the replacement. A service tech came out to look at my car, took photos, and said they would email the manager and have them call me to discuss repair options. No one has contacted me yet.
I have had nothing but issues with communication with the assigned technician and getting ahold of anyone in the service department. No one would return my calls while the car was in for repairs. I am still having troubles getting ahold of anyone to discuss repairing the marks on my vehicle from while in possession of the dealership. I still have unreturned voicemails a week later after being assured by a technician that the manager would call me back.
Once I get this resolved, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I’m frustrated by the lack of service and acknowledgement that I had/have active questions from the repairs done at this shop.
VERY frustrated with yet ANOTHER recall. This one is for brakes and took three months to get an appointment. Then they tell me it's too dangerous to drive until the parts are replace. (Wasn't it dangerous 3 months ago when I couldn't make an appointment?)
So on Friday, waited and waited and after three hours was told it was supposed to be a drop off appointment (I told them I was waiting) and finally got a loaner to go home. Monday I couldn't get through by phone to service department. Drove up and was told the parts were there but not the tech so it would be ready Tuesday. Tuesday I try to call...then text the service writer. Was told they don't have the parts yet. What?
Called Kia consumer affairs and after waiting for 15 minutes on hold I gave up.
Oh, and when my car engine failed yes they took care of it but it was over 3 months without my car. I bought a new car from them in good faith and it's been NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!
Bottom line is don't every buy a Kia.
I make every effort to avoid dealerships when possible but I was going to sell a Rio to a family member and wanted to take it in for the security, corrosion, and trunk latch recall before handing it off.
Unfortunately for taking my time to deal with these minor issues the dealership immediately turned around and sells my data and I'm getting multiple texts and emails every week with advertising for a car I don't even own anymore.
Definitely won't be back to this dealership and will be doing my research next time on if there are less invasive brands than Kia.
Dave Rife-
Your disrespect to my wife and refusing to even make an appointment for us crossed the line. Despite great customer service from Craig and Preston, I could never recommend anyone to this dealership while Dave is on the team.
Look at the personal social media posts of Dave for no further question on what type of character he has.
I sincerely hope he can learn to respect others.
Got an oil change and there was a big puddle of oil on my passenger side mirror. Don't really know how you accomplish that. Plus I don't believe they even changed my oil as it was still dark when I checked it. I'm honestly worried to check everything else because I'm starting to think they did more than just and an "oil change". Definitely don't go here plus the service people are rude and have no sense of common manners or even know what goes into your car. The lack of knowledge and accountability on the workers is bad. You can do it yourself easy as cake and it's cheaper.🤙also next time I'll have hidden cameras to really catch them lacking and breaking stuff on purpose.
Disappointed! I have Kia, and received a document saying bring my car to the dealer for an anti theft device to be put on my car! I thought...great! Made an appointment, left work early to make the appointment, when I showed up, they asked do you have a remote start...I said yes, you installed it here shortly after I bought the new car. The service guy said, they should have asked when I made the appointment if I had a remote start
Oh I am so sorry, we can not install this on your car.But they are working on correcting the problem. A few months later I get a notice saying they now have the program that will work with remote starts. As long as it was a Kia remote and Kia dealer installed! Yeah! I do! I asked to make sure I didn't make another trip....well this time I didn't have the correct Kia remote start, Ugh! I asked!!!! So another leaving working early and trudge threw rush hour traffic to be told the can't install in my vehicle, it's the wrong remote. I'm not upset that babe Don't have the correct remote I am upset for the two wasted trips and I contacted Kia via email and through managers and no response☹️🤕
As a first time buyer from of dealership, I went into the car lot with a ton of anxiety and naïveté. The sales person was professional, informative, and calmed my nerves fantastically.
Since my purchase, Mackenzie in the service department has gone above and beyond to coordinate maintenance with extraordinary attention and care.
I am 100% satisfied with my new car, and fully recommend Luther Nissan Kia of Inver Grove to anyone in the market!
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Dave Rife , sale manager, at Inver Grove KIA, and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I was returning a lease and in the process of buying it out, What struck me the most was Dave's complete failure as a human being to approach the situation with understanding and respect. He was not only disrespectful but also demonstrated a severe lack of awareness.
Buying a car can be a stressful experience, and it's only fair that customers are treated with respect and listened to rather than yelled at. I would strongly advise anyone looking to purchase a car to think twice before considering Inver Grove KIA. Ladies, in particular, should steer clear of this place, as my experience suggests that they may not receive the respectful treatment they deserve. This was a truly disappointing encounter, and I hope others can avoid the same unpleasant experience I had.
